If only we were all tigers

They’re a dying breed, the Sumatra tigers, or so I learned from a programme I watched recently while staying at my parents’ house. I enjoy living without a television, but I am glad I got to view this particular documentary. I now appreciate the beauty and power of a tiger in a way I have not before.  The tigers effortlessly balance the scales of solitude and companionship; they are representative of what we are all searching for.

We all need to take some time to reflect on how our own scales of solitude and companionship are balanced. Both are important, but we’ll all go through phases of one or the other at variant points in our lifetimes.

I’m on the way to earning my stripes, but I think it’s going to take some time,
